Whats new for 2010?
- FFPC Main Event Grand Prize is being increased from $75,000 to $100,000 in 2010.
As a national contest, the $100,000 Grand Prize will help market the FFPC to new high stakes players and help grow the contest. And the best part is: one of you WILL win this money. Don Metter and Chad Schroeder may have never expected to win $75,000 in 2008 and 2009, but they certainly did!
- FFPC Main Event League prizes increase from $8,000 to $8,500 per league. Seed #1 and Seed #2 awards also increased.
With the additional $500, the League Prize have been slightly adjusted and will be as follows:
-
League Regular Season Prizes (Weeks 1-11):
Team with the best H2H record - $1,500
Remaining team with the most regular season points - $1,500
-
League Playoff Prizes (Weeks 12-13):
1st Place - $3,500
2nd Place - $1,500
3rd Place - $500
Now that the Grand Prize is at $100,000, we will look to further add prize money to the League Prizes as we continue to grow. If we exceed our projected entries for 2010, we could go to even higher league prizes as soon as this year.
- FFPC Main Event entry fee is increased from $1400 to $1450 per team.
This is a reasonable 3.5% growth considering the increase to the Grand Prize and League Prizes.
- FFPC ‘Varsity’ Tournament
The Varsity is a 36-team tournament to be drafted live, in Las Vegas (limited online entries also available). Entry fee is $3,000 per team.
